TODAY’S MEDITATION – God has included everyone in His plan of salvation (1 Timothy 2:1-6)

In this passage, apostle Paul makes the fact that God is an inclusive God clear. Here, the word ALL is primary to understand what the purpose of God is for man as “wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (verse 4) My brother, my sister, here we are told that God ‘wants ALL people on earth to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Now, many people believe they hold the truth… yet, only one called Himself the truth, because He is the truth: Jesus Christ! Besides, as we read today’s passage, this revelation is clearly given to us in the form of the GOSPEL, for it is written that: “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people” (verses 5-6). Once again, this truth is stressed by Apostle Paul in another passage of the Bible when he says: “This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:21-24)

My friends, God has not excluded any of His creation that breathes by His Spirit from the plan of salvation. Before God, whether you be a man or a woman, an adult or a child, White caucasian, black or Asian, and so on… it makes no difference: you have fallen short of His glory. And because of this equality that makes no distinctions between men, it is only in Christ that you gain a distinctive status. Yes, “in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:26-29). My friend,, notice how many times the Bile says the word ALL in these passages!:

Yes, this is the core truth that we should not try to undermine: God included all of mankind in His plan of salvation. Therefore, those who refuse this plan are making their own, individual choices. As we read today’s different verses, we should understand that nobody is born with a religion, much less a doctrine… when we come into the world we find all these things already around, in our families or in our surroundings. Thus, we are free to follow any religion, doctrine or a particular belief that we find most appropriate for us. However, because the plan of salvation is ongoing until the return of Christ, God will continue to call people to draw them to the true faith, which is anchored in Jesus, the only true Messiah and we are ALL invited to follow Him to get access to God: “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!” (Matthew 17:5). My friend, yyou might have already accepted God’s call, but a person close to you could still not understand why they should accept Jesus. Today is the day the Lord has made, you could talk to that person and tell them that God is a God who loves them deeply… that the sacrifice of the cross was not done for some people, but for us ALL. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
