TODAY’S MEDITATION – God gives the vision to one, but uses many to carry it out (Nehemiah 2:17-18)

Why do people sometimes want to walk alone to accomplish the things of God? My brother, my sister, spiritual renewal often begins with one person’s vision. In this passage, Nehemiah had a vision, and he shared it with enthusiasm, even inspiring Jerusalem’s leaders to rebuild the walls.

There are many things God lay in the heart of His children, in order to bring His Kingdom on earth. But those things never come to pass, because we like to carry things by ourselves, by our own means and the way we view it. My friend, we should learn not to underestimate people around us. On the contrary, we must see what they can do and bring in the work God is asking us to do in the world. Therefore, when God plants an idea in your mind to accomplish something for Him, share it with others and trust the Holy Spirit to impress them with similar thoughts. Don’t regard yourself as the only person through whom God is working. You know, very often, God uses one person to express the vision and others to turn it into a reality. David had the vision to build a Temple for God, but it is his son who carried this dream out. Let’s learn to encourage and inspire the people God has placed around us (other Christians, family members, friends) by setting up a team of workers in action in order to accomplish God’s goals on earth. Nobody can accomplish the work of God all alone, and that is to avoid us falling into self-glory! Even at the Creation, God the Father did not create alone… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
