TODAY’S MEDITATION – God does not want you to be alone (Psalm 23:4)

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (Psalm 23:4). This verse is so well known, loneliness is something that many people, including believers, struggle with. The Bible is comforting for those that are lonely as it assures us we are not alone, and above all that God, our creator is with us always. My brother, my sister, even if today you feel you have no one, know that that feeling is not true: from Genesis, we learn that God does not want us to be without other people: ‘The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18). Besides, throughout the Bible, we are also encouraged to find friendships with other believers, as Jesus Himself called us His friends (John 15:15). My friend, the truth is that we sometimes feel all alone even if we are around other people. It is a trick from Satan who uses this against us so that we feel that we don’t matter or our testimony cannot be effective. But God’s word contradicts Satan’s plan and if you are feeling alone today, consider at least this verse “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). And in every thing never forget that Jesus did not leave us comfortless (John 14:26)… the Holy Spirit that dwells in you is there with you all the time. That’s why Jesus is saying this to you today : “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Stay blessed in Jesus. [facebook] [retweet]
