Sometimes, when we take time to withdraw from the crowd and experience an inspiring and wonderful moment, we feel so good that we wish to stay where we are, away from the reality and problems of our daily life. My brother, my sister, when you go on holidays, at some point of time you need to return home, isn’t it? You see, it is because we know that struggles await us in the valley that we actually want to linger on the mountaintop. Yet, staying on the top of the mountain prohibits our ministering to others. Every time Jesus went to the mountain, He came back to minister even knowing that put Him in danger. The fact is, the time we spend at the mountaintop enables us to become spiritual giants… but if we never come down we would instead become dwarfed by our self-centeredness, for the Bible says: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” You see, today’s verse teaches us that when we retreat to be renewed, it is actually for the Lord to teach us His ways. Many people have gone to the mountain only to submit their problems to the Lord only… My friend, are you looking for guidance or directions in your life, then today go up to the mountain to learn from Him, so you can return to stronger and also to minister to the world. Our faith must make sense off the mountain as well as on it. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
