Praise is not in the interest of God, but in ours ! Remember that the Bible says that He could raise praises from stones if He wanted ! (Luke 19:40). My brother, my sister, praising the Lord is an expression of your thankfulness to Him. You see, if you do not delight in your Lord, it would be hard for you to be grateful to what He has done for your life, and at the same time, you are opening doors to the god of this age to control you with his feelings of sadness, despair, etc. Therefore, know that praising the Lord benefits you first as it builds your faith and confidence in Him and gives you guidance to overcome our battles. Just remember the Lord talking to Jehoshaphat and telling Him that, when they were going out to battle, they must put those who were praisers, not the soldiers, out in front of the people, to sing praises to God, and stand still and see the salvation of the Lord with them (2 Chronicles 20:5-24). My friend, what is your battle today? Your Lord is telling you today that you don’t need to fight, He will fight for you as you show Him you trust Him in thanksgiving and praises, despite the way the whole situation still looks. The problem with most people is that, when things are painful, the forget to praise and thank the Lord, and that is the time the devil will also take the opportunity to present them with worldly influences that seems to soothe their immediate needs such as alcohol, drugs, lust, spiritualism (worshiping “who knows what?”), worldly music with it’s satanic Influences when he does not push them to become religious… because he is the god of this world and “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4). However our loving Father deserves our praise and adoration for who He is and for what He has done for us every day. Yes, “through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that openly profess his name” (Hebrews 13:15). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
