After making bad choices or facing failures, many people, including believers (which is even worse) consult mediums and psychics, seeking answers or guidance. My brother, my sister, why turn to dead souls instead of consulting the living God? God alone knows the truth, for He is the Truth. God alone knows the future, for He is the one establishing things and declaring them into existence. The sad truth about this is that many ‘mediums and psychics’ are within the body of Christ, prophesying to God’s people day and night to make them dependent of what they mimic as ‘the word of god.’ My dear friend, God does not talk every single day and He does not contradict Himself. He is God and He watches from heaven and talking to you through His own Word and His Spirit in you first. Who is that God who keeps promising you only goods things without ever telling you what to do to correct your wrong ways? Yes, God can also use someone to talk to you, but why is it you don’t hear Him guiding you through your situation? anyway, know that no matter what your circumstances are, there is already an answer provided for it in the Word of God, so open your Bible to look for that answer, then do what the Lord is asking you to do: that is what will make your situation change.
It is so easy to turn to a man and ask for God’s answer. Yet it is a denial of the fact that His Spirit dwells in you and the Bible says: “And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ” (Romans 8:9). No! God does not talk on man’s command. The main problem is that, it is mostly those people who disobey the Lord because of unrepentance who are also prophecy-runners, when they are not the first to blame God for what they are going through, which most of the time is the result of their own choices. My friend, as you read this, if you have been asking the Lord “why? why? why?”, turn the finger to yourself today and ask yourself “why did I put myself in this situation in the first place?” Your response to unpleasant situations in your life can either build you up or kill you spiritually: rejecting your responsibility is rebelling against the Lord! Accusing the others is imitating Satan himself.
So what should you do to get rid of bad choices and failures? The Bible says: “get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you” (James 1:21) and “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind” (1 Peter 2:1). Yes, most unpleasant situations in our lives are a result of our own bad choices, because the Lord can test us, but His test is meant to guide us towards His truth in order to build us up and grow. Therefore, if the contrary is happening, then it is not prayer, a deliverance you mostly need, it is turning away from your wicked ways! (2 Chronicles 7:14).
My friend, the truth needs to be told: the lord cannot bless you while such things are still part of your life: fornication, adultery, hypocrisy, deceit, envy, slander, pride, all those things he dislikes… So, no matter what prophecy you have received, for it to come to pass, you first need to be in right standing with Him. Don’t be deceived by man! The prophecy is there and it is in the will of God that it comes to pass, but it all depends on the choices you make: to follow Him faithfully or to rebel and walk this life in your own terms.
