TODAY’S MEDITATION – For your situation to change, abide in the Word, for it is the Word that was made flesh (John 1:14)

Too often, believers who read the Word do exactly like the Jewish believers who knew about what God had promised, but used to overlook it. My brother, my sister, maybe it is that part of the Word you are overlooking that will set you free! You know, limiting God’s Word to what appeal to you and support your personal agenda or ignoring what you don’t like about the Word because it sounds hard for you to take or any other reason puts you in a situation of ignorance and gives grounds to the devil or false teachings to fill that area. We must truly learn to accept all of God’s Word as absolute truth. You know, believing in Christ includes believing in The Word, because Christ is the Word made flesh (John 1:14). What does it mean? That when you reject, deny or negotiate with parts of the Bible, you are also rejecting, denying and negotiating with part of Jesus Christ! Can we really divide Christ into parts? Impossible! The same, you say you love Christ but you never open the Word of God to learn from His teachings? Then you are only lip-singing that love, because He says “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them” ‘John 14:23). How can you obey a teaching you don’t know about? And you don’t understand why your situation is not changing despite your fervent prayers? As you can see, it all starts with Jesus’ teachings, which are in the Bible… that same Bible we are given a clear command to: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful” (Joshua 1:8). Now you want to be prosperous and successful with your businesses, activities, health issues, family issues, etc. how much of the Word do you apply for that to happen? My friend, living the life the Lord wants you to live start with you applying what He says about your situation in His Word… prayer and fasting are good indeed, but you also need the wisdom and discernment that the Word can give you over your situation to be able to see prosperity and success. So, accept the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation being aware that “to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:19-20). My Friend, the Word of God is sacred, don’t minimise it, as doing so is minimising Christ Himself. You need to be coherent as a believer: Christ and the Word cannot be separate and One does not work without the other, for it is the Word that was made flesh! Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
