TODAY’S MEDITATION – Does your life shine enough to light the others? (Mark 4:21-22)

Many Christians today are hidden from sight. Unfortunately, such Christians are like a brand-new light that never leaves the box it came in. Why? My brother, my sister, if a lamp does not help people see, it isn’t worth much. My friend, since you have given your life to Christ, does your life show other people how to find the Lord and how to live for Him? Sometimes, we try to convince people of the reality of the Lord. But the Bible says: “it’s not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit” (Zechariah 4:6). In other words, if your life is still hidden from sight, ask yourself what has hidden your light, for, in today’s verse, Jesus Himself is inviting you to do that: “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.” My friend, what do you need to do to let your light shine? The answer is quite simple: whether it is what people do to stop you from shining or what you yourself do that keeps you from shining (complacency, resentment, embarrassment, stubbornness of heart), all that needs to come to light before your light could come to sight. Therefore, start with what you do, then ask the Lord to reveal to you what is hidden, so that you may be set free today. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
