Many passages in the Word of God tell us the same thing: God looks deep within our mind and heart. My brother, my sister, do you sometimes wonder why it seems to you that the Lord does not answer you, not to say He is ignoring your prayers so that you are always looking for someone to pray for you? Don’t think that He does not see you when you call on Him. He does see and hear you well! But, the truth is that nothing is hidden from the Lord. Yes, this can be terrifying or comforting… nevertheless, our thoughts are an open book to Him. Now, because the Lord knows even your motives, you have no place to hide, no way to pretend you can get away with sin. Besides, you don’t have to impress God or put up a false front before Him. That’s why Jesus is inviting us to come to Him the way we are. What does this mean? It simply means, to come to Him with our broken hearts, our fears, our doubts, our weaknesses, our sins… and let Him take care of them all, for He alone has the power and authority to work through your weaknesses and submit them to His authority: just look at what He did with Saul who became the Apostle Paul! My friend, if you have the feeling that the Lord seems not to answer you, it is only because you have not yet submitted all to Him.
