TODAY’S MEDITATION – Do you want to know the peace of the Lord? (Isaiah 48:22)

The world has taught us to be so impatient and never to check ourselves first that, many people who come to the Lord come with this very attitude within the Body of Christ and do not allow their minds to be renewed by the Holy Spirit. My brother, my sister, are you crying out for comfort, security, healing, relief or anything in this world? Then know what the Lord is telling you through His Word today’s verse: “‘There is no peace,’ says the Lord, ‘for the wicked.’” The problem with many people is that they always look for answers to their problems on someone else’s shoulder or from external sources. My friend, what would stop you from finding relief or the peace that comes from the Lord is something you yourself are responsible of, not an external source, because it is within your own heart that the Lord seeks: “My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways” (Proverbs 23:26). Now, when He looks at your heart and mind, what does He find? My friend, know that what the Lord calls wickedness is all those things that we do that are not pleasing to Him (lying, cheating, stealing, gossiping, jealousy, lust, etc…)… basically, those things that are dictated by our flesh, those little things that the world wants to make us believe are not very harmful! Yes, those “little sin” may not harm you straight or harm anyone, but they are huge before the Lord! You see, many people want Him to restore them, but they haven’t taken the first steps to turn away from sin and open the channels to God. If you don’t repent and put your trust in the Lord, how can you expect Him to do anything for you. Of course, there is His grace… but, my friend, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and grace that not exempt us from obeying Him! The Bible clearly says that “all things work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 8:28). Now, when you love someone, the first thing you do is to show that person your love, not only say it. Many people sing that they love God while their actions disobey His Word blatantly, and they will find good excuses or justifications to explain themselves. Your own justifications or explanations will never give you peace. My friend, you love God but you never read His Word to learn to know Him? You love the Lord but you never go to the church while He is the Head of the Church? You love the Lord but you pick and choose what suits you in the Word? My friend, if you want peace in any area of your life today, sincerely seek God first or return to your first love if you have wandered away from Him, then He will give you His peace because He is the God who “God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
