TODAY’S MEDITATION – Do you want the Lord to hear? (Psalm 24:3-4)

Lots of believers still have this false idea of the grace of God that they take it so much for granted. And, they don’t understand why major changes do not occur in their lives. My brother, my sister, if the Lord forgives us when we sin, it is by His grace that we received when Jesus died on the cross. Yet, from Genesis to Revelation, there is something that God tells us throughout: REPENT! Now, confession of sin and repentance are two different words, which means it is not because you have sinned and asked God to forgive you that you have entered His Holy Place… there are serial sin-confessors out there who are not ready to repent, because repentance means turning away from that sin! Now, today’s verse is clear: “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.” Some other Bible verses say “and never tell lies”. You see, many people lie, just to lie… because that’s their way to get through life or to get what they are coveting. But God values honesty, and any lack of honesty makes your relationship with God impossible. Besides, the main thing about lie is that we never think that if we lie to others, we are actually deceiving ourselves, and God cannot hear us or speak to us if we are building a wall of self-deception around ourselves. Even if you cry all the tears of your body, unless your heart and your hands are clean, even 24/7 prayers will not make you stand before His Holy Place. You want the Lord to hear you today, then start checking that you have had your heart and hands clean through repentance. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
