TODAY’S MEDITATION – “Do you still want to argue with the Almighty?” (Job 40:2-5)

At times, things go so wrong in our lives that, even committed Christians start questioning or arguing with the Great Lord. My brother, my sister, it is a human reaction: when do not find answers, we look for them. Now, you need to wonder the way you argue or criticize the almighty God… because all of us are tempted to do so one day… Yes, did you demand answers when things didn’t go your own way once, when you lost a job, finances were tight, you failed or unexpected changes occurred in your life, or when someone you love became ill or died? Then, my friend, you either argued or criticized the Lord! Remember that He is the Creator of all things, so He can call back any life He has given whenever He deems it is time and no one can oppose Him. The next time you are tempted to complain to God, consider how much He loves you and that He said that “all things work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 8:28). Also, remember Job’s reaction here when he had his chance to speak and consider whether you are worse off than Job or more righteous than him. And above all, know that as you are going through hardships and continue trusting the Lord, you are also giving Him the chance to reveal His greater purposes for you, which may unfold over the course of your life and not necessarily at the very moment you desire, just because His ways are not our ways and His time is not our time… but one thing is certain, as you read the story of Lazarus (John 11:11-45) you understand that the Lord will never arrive too late in your life or for any situation you are going through and ” Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
