Here Jesus is talking to unbelieving leaders and quoting from Psalm 118:22 that says “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” My brother, my sister, even the rejection of the Messiah had been prophesied in the Word. Ignoring the cornerstone is very dangerous because you can end up getting crushed by the building (spiritually, you can end up going through the judgment or punishment). You see, because the people Jesus was talking to knew the Law, and above all understood what He meant, they immediately wanted Him to be arrested. Yes, today you may face the rejection of people from whom you would rather expect understanding. But, do you know that their rejection could be prophetic and taking you to the accomplishment of the plan of God for your life? If you have doubt about it, read the story of Joseph… then take courage and bear that rejection prophetically knowing that everything works for the good of those who love God, and if He has allowed that to happen, then you only have to trust His purpose for you… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
