TODAY’S MEDITATION – Do not be conformed to this world (Romans 12:2)

Nowadays, the spirit of the world is entering churches (gossiping, criticism, etc.) so much that it is common to see people leaving faith for unfounded reasons, or backsliding or even destroying churches through their behaviours. My brother, my sister, this terrible fact just tells us that many church-goers are not regenerated, because when we are truly regenerated by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit in us will silence the spirit of the world that was reigning in us before we became Christians. Yes, the Word of God tells us “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2). And, it is clear that this spirit believers are bringing within the body of Christ only seek to divide, shut the church up, silence the witness of Christ, but even worse to challenge the Word of God. That is why there are so many shallow Christians out there, whose faith can very quickly be influenced. My friends, the faith Jesus seeks in view of His coming back is that faith that cries out day and night for deliverance from this world, and that is unashamedly rejecting the current perverted world order and that is ready to spread the Good News and gain more soul to the Kingdom of God… not to fill local churches! The Bible says “And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?” (Luke 18:7). My friends, let’s not become mere seat-fillers in our churches, but active Christians who know the Word of God and who obey to our Lord Jesus’ commands as they are waiting for His imminent return. As you are preparing to go to a church this weekend, ask yourself what can I do to serve Jesus and to fill His Kingdom, for “whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
