TODAY’S MEDITATION – “Call on me in the day of trouble” (Psalm 50:15)

Very often, in time of distress, we turn left and right, looking for relief or help. But most of the time, it seems no one can give us the relief or help we need. My brother, my sister, you are a candidate to God’s mercy and deliverance if you are in trouble today. The Bible says, “The Lord confides in those who fear him” (Psalm 25:14). In order words, if you fear Him, know that He is your friend. So, even if life’s problems seem to go from bad to worse, the Lord is the only one who can reverse this downward spiral, because when He died on the cross, Jesus took away all your pains. Therefore, if you trust in Him, He can give you relief from problems and turn them into glorious victories. But, my friend, the first and most important thing you need to do is, like David, cry out to Him: “Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted” (Psalm 25:16). Yes, as you do so, the Lord will do His work in you by bringing you the peace you need to consider things calmly and strengthen your faith, and also, He will guide you by showing you the way to get out of it or even by granting you a miracle. This means that all starts with you. What is the level and condition of your relationship with the Lord today? The Lord has made His offer to you, a clear and simple offer: “call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honour me” (Psalm 50:15). My friends, the Lord wants to be glorified through us and we know our Lord fulfills His promises according to His own agenda, so do your part and wait on Him patiently, because in Christ, you are more than conqueror. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
