Today’s verse says: « Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters »
Work done with the wrong attitude will leave us with lassitude (a state of physical or mental weariness; lack of energy). We will feel empty!
My brother, my sister, if you accept your work as an assignment from God, because He has given you the ability to do it, then you should see your work as a gift too. Remember that many people are not gifted with the ability you have to do what you are doing.
Has your work become a burden to you instead of a gift from God?
My friend, if so, examine what you expect from your efforts! Also bear in mind that God gives you abilities and opportunities to work so that you can use your time well but not be consumed with time or stay away from Him.
Without God, there is no lasting reward or benefit in hard work… all there is, is lassitude and emptiness.
