TODAY’S MEDITATION – As you remember the Cross today, what can you do? (1 John 3:16)

Today we remember the cross, which gives true meaning to our status before God today. My brother, my sister, this day should be a time when you really set yourself aside, if you are a true Christian. Why? Because, without the Cross, you would not have been called a Christian. So, what can you do really to show who you are?

Jesus died for you to be redeemed and be reconciled with God the Father and you are now alive forever. Do you really get the scope of the cross? So, don’t focus on Easter eggs or chocolate like the world do; don’t focus on fasting on meat or anything else… focus on Christ by measuring the true meaning of what happened on the cross, for this should urge love, humility, goodness and sacrifice in you! My friend, Jesus gave His life for us. Today, all we should do is to lay down our lives for the others. That’s what we are told on today’s verse: “Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters”.

Many people carry their own crosses and never realise that Jesus, who never sinned, carried the cross of all humanity at the same time. So, is your cross really heavy, my friend? Today, make it a day to share the love of God, not to share your own problems; a day to show humility, not a day to promote yourself; a day to give, not a day to receive. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
