TODAY’S MEDITATION – Are your thoughts still in prison? (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Are part or all your thoughts still imprisoned? Today, I would like to recall you, my brother, my sister, that only God can set you free from captive thoughts through His Spirit, as you trust Him and abide to His teachings. One of the most difficult battles we have to fight is the one of our mind. Yes, all of us can be accused of something we have not done, as well as we can accuse ourselves things that are not true: ‘I am alone… nobody loves me… I can’t do this because…, etc.’ Anyway, anything that you are accused of or that you accuse yourself of can turn into a stronghold in your mind and starts weakening you spiritually. Remember that Satan is the accuser (Revelation 12:10). Now, today’s verse recalls us that “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ”. My friend, there is only one way you can get rid of any thought captive: by rejecting the lies of Satan and allowing the Spirit of God to renew our mind. So today, let me pray with you: Dear Lord, thank you for providing ways for me to be set free from any captive thought. Today I admit that I have let some thoughts that are not true weaken my faith in you and your Word. Forgive me for entertaining thoughts of doubts, thoughts of fear, thoughts of rejection or discouragement, and even sometimes thoughts that nobody loves me. All those thoughts are lies. I know you love me and you have not given me the spirit of fear. So today, I commit to reject feelings that make me feel inferior, insecure, fearful or discouraged, for today I know that I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen… My friend, the enemy cannot do anything against you, but his greatest weapon is to bring ou to do it yourself by isolating you from the Word of God or from people, by making your thoughts captive in a way to paralyze you. But the one in you is stronger than the one in the world, so destroy any prison he wants to put you in through your thoughts. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
