TODAY’S MEDITATION – Are you wholeheartedly committed to the Lord ? (2 Chronicles 15:14-15)

In today’s society, people are so much afraid of expressing their opinion sometimes that many find it difficult to commit themselves to anything… especially young people! They are tentative, indecisive and afraid of responsibilities. As we read today’s passage, we see that Asa and his people had a different reaction, as they had clearly declared themselves for God: “They took an oath to the Lord with loud acclamation, with shouting and with trumpets and horns. All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side” (2 Chronicles 15:14-15). What should strike us here is that their oath of allegiance was stressed by their shouts and trumpet blasts. Yes, their decisive and wholehearted commitment pleased God and resulted in them finding God and His peace. My friend, the Lord is at hand’s reach by anyone who seeks Him wholeheartedly. Therefore, if you lack peace in some areas of your life, first check to see if there are still areas where you lack total commitment to God. And today, keep in mind that peace comes as a by-product of giving your life wholeheartedly to the Lord. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
