TODAY’S MEDITATION – Are you listening to God’s voice? (1 Kings 19:11-13)

Nowadays, many believers have the wrong understanding that they should look for God’s voice or manifestation through something big such as conferences where you have highly visible leaders. My brother, my sister, read today’s passage and you will know that Elijah knew how to listen to God’s voice, and God does not manifest Himself through huge sounds like the wind or a sign like fire.

My friend, yes, God doesn’t reveal Himself only in powerful, miraculous ways. Very often He is found gently whispering in the quietness of a humbled heart. Sometimes, all we need to do is to step back from the noise of our daily lives and the activities of our busy lives to be able to listen humbly and quietly for his guidance. On His part, God is ready to talk to you, but are you listening to Him personally or expecting to hear from Him only through someone or a sign? If so, then why do you think Jesus sent His Spirit to dwell in you, except to allow you to be in communion with Him and the Father? Most of the time we fail to hear the voice of God only because our hearts are not well positioned. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
