TODAY’S MEDITATION – Are you in need of a fresh beginning ( Isaiah 55:6-7)

What do we mean by a fresh start? It is beginning again with no impediments, encumbrances or hindrances from your past actions. It means you take a deep breath of new, fresh air to go forward with a victorious outlook: FAITH! That is what the expression means to me. Today’s passage says: “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon”.

My brother, my sister, the Lord delights in giving us fresh, clear, and clean beginnings. But are you genuinely open to and ready to hear and obey the truth in order to be blessed with a new beginning? If so, keep reading the Bible, also open your whole heart to Christ. You see, the key for a fresh start in life with the Lord is finding Him, knowing Him. Now, knowing God is not about joining a religion or a church, following a set of rules or even being a “good person”. Knowing Him is about having your own personal relationship with the Creator of the universe, discovering just how much He truly loves you, and embarking on the journey of loving Him back.

Yes, my friend, the key to overcoming the world’s hardships is your faith, which was given to you by God when you were born again. Our faith can grow (2 Corinthians 10:15). Now, we know that “faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17). This means that as you study the Word, meditate on it, practice your faith, your faith will mature, enough to be able to bring change in your life. Unfortunately, many believers don’t have faith according to the one God has given. Why? They have more faith in their present circumstances, things they can see… so when they see nothing, they believe they have received nothing. Is it what you have heard in the word of God? As for me I have heard this: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:22). That’s why I continue to pray keeping faith

Yes, as Christians we know that we can have a fresh start before God, but also before man. For this to happen, we have to contribute through our spiritual maturity: only children become grumpy, moan or cry when they have not received what they asked for; a mature adult knows that tomorrow can bring something new, something different, something better depending on what they decide to do to make that happen. As believers, what we have to do is simple: we must apply the Word of God in all our circumstances! My friend the Word of God is alive for whoever know that it is alive and true, and believes in it.

So let us all of us have a fresh start today: if you are not a disciple of Jesus then today, now, accept Him and start fresh with God. If you are already a disciple of Jesus then right now present yourself anew to Him as a living and holy sacrifice. Let your mind be renewed by the Holy Spirit so you will be transformed according to God’s will and walk in the victory of Christ. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
