TODAY’S MEDITATION – Approach God in confidence to access the blessings you were restored because of Jesus (Ephesians 3:12)

My brother, my sister, the purpose of today’s meditation is to remind you that God has a treasure-house of blessing just waiting for you. If you will take the time to really get into the Word on your own, you will see the abundance of the promises God has for you, because it is through the cross that all that was restored to you. But the main problem is that many people have neglected the fact that through Jesus, they “have access to the Father by one Spirit” (Ephesians 2:18) and that “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence” (Ephesians 3:12).

Yes, my friend, realise today that because of Christ, you have direct access to God the Father. Because of Christ, you don’t have to go through the high priest, offer sacrifices, pay money, hurt others or hurt yourself to have access to God’s blessings. You see, the world seems to think that anyone can come to God at any time, not matter what. Unfortunately, the Bible very clear says that outside of Christ we are enemies of God! And the same, outside of Christ, we have no access to the promises of God. Let’s clarify this: Jesus says He is the way. So He is opening the way for us to go to God. Why? The answer is here: “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). You see here that it is our lack of confidence to access God directly that can sometimes make us lack to receive His mercy and find grace in our time of need!

My friend, let’s learn to believe and do what the Bible says. When God says test me, just test Him to see what happens! When He says do this or that, just to it to see what happens. When He says don’t do this or that, don’t do it, just to it to see what happens. He is not a man to lie… Many believers still don’t have an intimate relationship with God, and that is the reason why they still can’t access directly to Him. Imagine you living in a house where you barely speak or talk to your mum or dad. When you need something from them, won’t you feel embarrassed to approach them and talk to them? Of course you will, because there is no close relationship between you and you won’t even know where to start to expose your issue to them. That is what happens in our relationship with God: when we don’t spend time in His presence (which is where two or three gather in His name), when we don’t spend time with Him to talk to Him (in the secret of our room), when we don’t meditate on His Word to learn from Him, we may not understand His language and we may find it hard to express ourselves before Him. That is the reason why many believers are still looking for intermediaries to access God on their behalf. Yet, the Bible says, only Jesus is our intermediary. But Jesus has already opened the way to you. Now do your part and the Lord will not only open your mind to understand His Word (Luke 24:45). But also, He will bless you for you to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2) according to His plans for your life. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
