TODAY’S MEDITATION – Always rejoice, never stop praying and be thankful (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Today’s passage says: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Let me rephrase it, my brother, my sister: it is GOD’S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST that you always be joyful, never stop praying and be thankful no matter what happens in your life! My friend, doing God’s will is the path to perfect living. So, the circumstances of our lives should not make our relationship with the Lord fluctuate. Yes, if you obey these three commands, you will begin to see people, the circumstances in a new perspective. My friend, when you do God’s will, you will find it easier to be joyful and thankful too. Now, maybe you have grown tired of praying for something or someone because what you have asked the Lord seems not to happen. You see, even so, never stop praying because the race is long and a Christian’s persistence is also an expression of his faith to a God who answers prayers. Your faith should not die because the answers to your prayers are coming slowly, for the delay may be God’s way of working His perfect will in your life or in that situation. My friend, whenever you feel tired, still keep in mind that the Lord who intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father, day and night, is present, always listening, always answering… but in ways that He knows are best for us. Today, realise that He is present in your life and determine to obey Him fully by being joyful, never stop praying and being thankful always. Do your part, because the rest belongs to Him and He is faithful to His Word. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
