TODAY’MEDITATION – You are destined to be a channel of life and blessing for others (Proverbs 11:25)

This verse says: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” My brother, my sister, Jesus’ words are Spirit and life and they produce powerful results wherever they are acted upon. Yesterday, I experienced this power as I went to pray with a very sick and bedridden sister who received the news her son was going to be deported too. My friend, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and he will never change his mind about the good things he has set for you. This sister refused to pray with us when I got there because she was so depressed and asked me to pray in the living room with her niece instead of going into her bedroom as we have been doing. I sat in the living room with the niece, talking with her and preparing to pray. Then, the sister called us up into her room. We sat there. She was crying, saying there is no point living if her son is to be deported to her country too, now that sickness has already made her so weak that she cannot even visit him where he is detained. She cried, and cried and cried. Her niece also cried with her. I sat there, filled with compassion and holding back my tears but praying inside my heart and talking to the Lord and asking him “Lord, doesn’t your Word say you are the great healer… doesn’t your Word say we won’t be tempted beyond our strength?” After some long minutes, the sister agreed to pray with us, so we prayed. Oh! Alleluia… When we finished the prayer, I told her, let me call a lawyer I know, because Tuesday this very week, this lawyer got my son out of immigration detention. God is wonderful. My friends, He instantly healed the saddened soul of this sister who had cried all day long. After my testimony, she started saying God has not forgotten her, how could she even think of killing herself… she is now sure the Lord will not allow her son to be deported because the Lord had sent her her niece, and through her niece He had sent me and this testimony that gave her hope. By the time I left, she was saying jokes and we were laughing.

Yes, my friends, we should never forget the promises of the Lord for our lives, because, as we act on these promises faith will rise up and hope will become alive. My friend, you are destined to be a channel of life and blessing for others as you hide Gods’ words in your heart and you make yourself available to serve Him and the others. Yes, greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even your faith. God has given us the keys to the kingdom. My friend, open the doors that the Lord has provided for you to be able to find all things pertaining to life and Godliness. Yes, Let righteousness, peace and joy reign in your life from this very day because they are part of the equipment provided for you as the Lord grows big inside of you. He ordains strength in the place of weakness, hope in the face of despair and beauty in exchange for ashes. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
