All around the world, we see towers here and there. They can shelter people and many think they can protect them from the outside world and bad weather, etc. My brother, my sister, what is a tower… a strong tower? A strong tower is a place of safe refuge. It is the place you go to hide from enemies. A strong tower has large areas for many people to find shelter, rest or sleep in and can hold and store a large amount of food and anything you may need. It is huge and heavily fortified to protect whoever is within this stony blocks. Yes, a strong tower is also a place of abundance. There is a great storage of food and provision. Our Lord is a Strong Tower. My friend, the Word says “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want” (Psalm 23) and in Matthew 6:31-33 we read “Do not worry saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink? or what shall we wear? for the pagans run after these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom and righteousness , and all these things will be given to you as well.” My friends, this is the reason why, once in Christ, our Strong Tower, we should not have wet eyes or broken hearts anymore but all we need to do everyday is to call on the name of Lord, Jesus Christ, the Strong Tower, for when we run into it, we are saved. And not only so, for the storage that is kept in the Strong Tower becomes your portion too, as the Bible says, the Lord will supply all your needs according to His great riches.
