TODAY’S MEDITATION – God does not need human consent to do what He wants to do with you (Isaiah 45:1-10)

This passage of the Bible, like many others, is worth mentioning, especially because many people are secretly hypocrites and think like worldly pagans when they have a say on what God is doing with one person they did not expect to see on a certain position… sometimes, because they assumed this person does not have any legitimate right or ability to do what he/she is doing. My brother, my sister, if unbelievers question what someone is doing, it is understandable, because an unbeliever does not know that God is almighty… and unbelievers think they are little gods who can manage their own lives by themselves. Now, for a believer to question someone’s ability to do something, especially for the Kingdom of God, this is what is most questionable! As we look into this story, we see that this is the only place in the Bible where a Gentile king is said to be “anointed”. This shows us that God is the power over all rules and HE ANOINTS WHOM HE CHOOSES for His special tasks. You see, Cyrus’ kingdom was one of the largest of any empire of his time. Now, Why did God choose and anoint Him? Could God not choose and anoint any believer to do His tasks, just like He did with Moses? Of course He could! But to rebuild Jerusalem, God chose an unbeliever, a man who did not know Him and He told Him: “I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me” (verses 5-6). My friend, God does not need the consent of a man to do what He wants to do with you… And today, know that those who are against the plans of God in your life are quarreling with their own Creator. Don’t waste your time trying to convince them of anything. Just set your eyes on Him who chose you, for He is the One who also anoints and equips you to accomplish His special tasks. Regarding those who disagree with you on what you do for the advancement of God’s Kingdom, remember that the Bible says: “Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker” (verse 9). People always have to say something, especially when they themselves are unable to do what you are doing. Don’t allow anyone to discourage you in your walk or your service to the Lord! Don’t let anyone define you and serve God because He convinced you in your heart and spirit through His Spirit, and the day He did it, no one was in your heart to see what it… If you are already serving the Lord, the day He anointed you to serve Him, no one was there to see it because He does not invite people to applaud what He is doing… HE IS SOVEREIGN and ALMIGHTY. However, He will be right on time to surprise those who challenge your ministry and show them what He can do in you and through you… Know that God does not choose or anoint everyone to accomplish his task on earth … He searches through all our hearts and if He chose you it’s because of what He found in your heart… something that people might not see, something special that He certainly wants to use for His Glory… Therefore be strengthened in your walk with the Lord and wait patiently to be surprised soon because of what He is able to do with you. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
